Shop. Learn. Experience.
Throughout the months of January and February CTA organizations are very involved with the Sewing & Stitchery Expo.
The Pierce County CTAs are very involved with helping the Sewing & Stitchery Expo ticket office in preparation for the event at the end of February. Although some members are paid employees of the office, most of the members volunteer hours to help with the processing and fullfillment of the tickets. CTAs are very instrumental in assisting the office staff to ensure that Expo runs smoothly not only in advance of the event, but during it as well.
Pierce County CTA members are responsible for creating schedules for the volunteers, managing the volunteers and providing support to them during the event. Throughout the Sewing & Stitchery Expo volunteers manage the classrooms, ticket booth, information booth and entry staff. Preparing and running the Sewing & stitchery Expo consumes much of the time for CTAs during the month of January and February.
The Sewing & Stitchery Expo is celebrating it's 35th year in 2019. There are over 22,000 attendees from around the world at this even annually!
Regardless of what your passion is around sewing, quilting, knitting or any needlecrafts, the Expo event has something for you. New and old vendors attend this event annually so that you can continue to make contact with your old favorites as well as see new trends. Most of the vendors conduct classes to teach techniques, demonstrate tools and provide resources for the skills you would like learn or improve upon. There is always something new and exciting at Expo!
We look forward to seeing you there February 26 - March 1, 2020.
